Through the year I think it is inevitable that you will go through some kind of style rut. You might be struggling to keep up with the weather changes or maybe you just aren’t loving what the high-street currently has to offer. However, this is why I think it is important to have a showstopper dress hidden away in your wardrobe that is guaranteed to make you feel INCREDIBLE. For me, that is this fantastic floral maxi dress.

Whenever I have an event coming up, it is very likely that if I go shopping for a new outfit, I will not be able to find ANYTHING that I like… despite seeing around five beautiful outfits I loved just weeks before. However, when this happens it definitely puts me at ease to know that I can just throw on this cheeky little number which always makes me feel my best.

The long flowing material and leg slit is so flattering and the vibrant red and floral print makes this baby nothing but eye-catching. It ticks off everything that you could possibly want in a showstopper dress. Glamorous? Check! Sexy? Check! A head-turner? DOUBLE CHECK!! I also think that red is the perfect colour because it is so bold and it is always my go-to colour for when I want to feel a little bit flirtatious and alluring.

This is no ordinary dress. In fact, it is a bit of a chameleon because it can be worn for so many different occasions such as weddings, birthdays, christenings, anniversary parties, dates, holidays and if you really wanted to show everybody up – it can even be rocked for more casual get-togethers. The dramatic length of the dress makes it perfect for more dressier occasions but because of the summery vibes, it can also work for something more informal by dressing it down with some sandals and a woven handbag.

These types of dresses definitely steal all of the attention from the rest of your outfit so there isn’t a huge need to accessorise. However, I simply could not resist styling it with these AMAAHZING earrings. I mean… double flower power, double red and pink!? It is basically the ensemble of my dreams. Statement earrings are definitely my jam and it is rare that I miss an opportunity to throw a pair on to complete an outfit. I decided to keep the shoes fairly minimal with some simple black court heels but if you really wanted to get everybody’s eyes on you, you could keep the bold colours going and wear some pink or red heels. However, you can certainly let this dress do all of the talking.

If you don’t already have an item in your wardrobe like this I would highly suggest that you invest in one because you never know when it might be needed. A showstopper dress that is guaranteed to make you feel this way is also great if you just want a bit of a confidence boost.
